Sesquisharp Productions is a new production company based out of Ottawa, Canada. Founded in 2012 by University of Ottawa graduate students Jacob Caines and Megan Johnson, Sesquisharp Productions aims to provide the city of Ottawa with new, exciting and cutting edge musical productions while simultaneously promoting established and emerging young artists from the area. We are committed to bringing together composers, conductors, directors, choreographers and performers to collaborate and produce compelling and avant-garde performances covering a diverse range of musical styles. From classical to contemporary, orchestral to music theatre, performances by Sesquisharp Productions encompass both well loved and unexpected music.

We also truly believe in the power of art and performance as a tool to enrich the cultural fabric of our community. It is our aim to expand upon the thriving music and culture scene in the city by enlisting performers and collaborators at all ages and at all stages of their careers as well as performing at unique spaces throughout the city of Ottawa. In doing so, Sesquisharp Productions is primed to become an arts organization that truly resonates within its local community and beyond.

01/22/13: Our indiegogo fundraising campaign is now over. Our sincere thanks to all who contributed. The funds that were raised will be directed in full to commissioning and producing a full length choral composition by Canadian composer Robert J. Rosen. This concert will take place in June, 2013. Please check our schedule page for further details- information will be posted there closer to the performance.
